PARASUCO
SPRING/SUMMER 2008 TREND REPORT
The
spring-summer 2008 collection is ripe with inspiration; tapping into deep vats
of indigo references, the collection flirts with streetwise elegance: the ‘’8’’
is born.
Uncompromisingly
sexy, the PARASUCO WOMAN embraces denim glamour. By day she favours
falsely demure satin skirt-suits in boxy silhouettes and satiny finishes, sheer
narrow baby-doll dresses with ballooning sleeves and blouses in animal-print
silk charmeuse.
By night, she boldly
pairs, printed tops and embellished jerseys, with bejewelled novelty denim. The
whole grouping, drips with feminine touches and suggests confident,
unapologetic sex-appeal.
To satisfy her jean
fetish, colored denim is introduced
in bright magenta hues and high-waisted
dressed up looks, remain from seasons past.
Deluxe Parasuco leisurewear should ease her pool-side fashion cravings and sporty silhouettes make
a statement in French terry with monogram rubber stamping.
The PARASUCO MAN steps into spring with
renewed confidence; his disheveled
elegance is brought center stage as luxury meets comfort and function.
Buttery, Italian-made, lamb-skin jackets, linen sweaters and denims are ideal
for seemingly effortless, layered styling.
Sports influences, like fencing and motocross, impress this modern,
denim-friendly sportswear. The lines are bold and architectural, highlighted by
precise stitching details and quilting effects.
A
custom Parasuco crest, complete with intricate gold and brass threads, finishes
off the complete varsity look. High density cottons afford
crispness to jackets, pants and Capri styles
that can easily be dressed up or down. Summery cotton shirts are injected
into this delivery, for light-hearted fun.
Lastly, Parasuco
unveils its vintage chic, a denim
heavy grouping showcasing Parasuco’s unequalled denim ``savoir-faire``. Natural
wear patterns, free from rigid structure, are achieved through sophisticated
bleaching and sanding techniques; Wash
treatments and laundered finishes create a softer silhouette, or slightly
crinkled surfaces, provide the ideal lived-in look. Denim’s vintage appeal is
highlighted by modern, western-inspired touches such as tassel pulls, accent
studding, embroideries and embossing. Bleached denims, faded brights and
pastels give body to this offering for renewed appeal.
PARASUCO’s history of
innovation speaks for itself: With key introductions to market such as
prewashed denim garments (1972), stretch denim (1975), denim sportswear (1978),
black overdye denim (1987) as well as denim sand-blast (1986), PARSUCO has set
world standards still in use today, and its creativity and experience will
guide it into an ever brighter future!
PARASUCO takes pride in being an original
Canadian owned and operated brand and a citizen of the world!
